The project began, as most of our design work does, in Adobe Illustrator, where the iconic SB mark was created with intention and symmetry. Clean vector lines were shaped for both elegance and flexibility in motion.
From there, the animation was developed using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, integrating cutting-edge visual scripting tools and AI-driven features powered by Adobe Sensei. These tools let us simulate light reflections, metallic glints, and dynamic motion paths that respond with lifelike detail — all without compromising creative control.
This SB Studios logo animation also leans on new procedural systems to generate animated textures and glow layers that evolve across time. Subtle gradients and motion curves breathe life into the brand mark — giving viewers not just a logo, but an experience.
What makes this production stand out is how AI is now augmenting the creative process, not replacing it. In After Effects, we leveraged AI-assisted interpolation and behavior modeling to automate secondary effects (like light flares and inertia physics) that would normally take hours of manual keyframing. With these tools, we can remain laser-focused on artistry — while the software handles the mechanics.
Once animation was complete, optimization came next. Our goal: build a dynamic, high-resolution asset that doesn’t bog down page load speeds. To that end, we carefully controlled file size, palette depth, and playback smoothness. The final animated GIF clocks in just over 3 MB, balancing performance and presence — ready for web display across desktop and mobile.
